Training practice

We are a training practice and are committed to the education and training of Medical Students and Doctors.

Central Park regularly employs Trainee GPs (GP Registrars) at the practice. This is a qualified doctor who is undertaking further training in primary care to enable them to work as an independent GP. The trainee may be working in the practice for a period of 4-12 months. They have their own consulting room and see patients in their own surgeries. They are supervised by a senior GP.

We also have Medical Students who visit the practice for a block of time to learn about medicine in the primary care setting. The GP you are seeing may ask if they can be present during your consultation.

GP net earnings

From 1st April 2015, it is a contractual requirement for all GP practices to declare on their website the mean earnings (i.e. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The mean earnings for GPs working at Central Park Medical Centre in the last financial year ended 31st March 2021 was £64,993  before deduction of employee’s superannuation contribution, tax and National Insurance.

This has been calculated based on our 7 part time GPs that have worked in the practice for more than six months during the financial year 2020/21.
